| What’s driving corporate relocations in the current economic environment?
|
The Isle of Man Government in association with the Economist has produced a webcast on the theme of corporate relocation. Relocation is not easy for any company. The bureaucratic and legal requirements may be messy, business processes may be disrupted and the financial costs can be enormous–especially if customers are lost in the process. However, the current economic environment may pose a newfound opportunity for companies looking to position themselves well for any possible upturn in 2010 and beyond. A successful move can position a company well for future growth, or secure a better location at a more attractive long-term cost. The question is how to properly manage this. This webcast on corporate relocation features a panel of experts, including Tim Craine, Director of E-Business and Space Commerce, who will discuss the rationale for such a change, as well as the obstacles faced when it comes time to move. |
